Frequently Asked Questions

How is timber framing different from conventional stick construction?

The timbers are the structural supports for the building allowing for open concept and vaulted ceilings. You will usually find fewer interior walls and more windows then in a conventional home, allowing for a more unique home. Timber frames uses traditional joinery (such as mortise & tenon), which are then pegged together and set on a foundation.

What are the advantages of using panels instead of insulated stud walls?

Panels are typically stronger then conventional framed walls. Panels are energy efficient and are quicker to install with less waste.
